Heater Repair

SHR A/C & Heating offers a complete line of heater repair services in the DFW area. Including but not limited to residential gas furnaces, electric heaters & heat-pump systems. We are factory trained to work on almost all residential brands of heating systems. Including exhaust vent installation and repair, and communicating systems of all brands, specializing in Carrier Infinity.
Residential gas heaters are almost all very similar. They seem easy to install in the summertime, until winter hits and your heater repair company does not know what to do to get the furnace system operational. When working on residential gas heaters it is important to remember that it is much easier for a repair technician to diagnose the problem than it could be for a heater. The new heating systems all have tons of safety features built into the to prevent fire or CO damage. These safety devices are all wired to run through one central point which is the circuit board. When your circuit board is giving you problems you have to remember that a lot of the safety features are very sensitive to a good ground and the correct polarity going into it.
Commercial heating systems can be a little bit different but we still offer a large number of commercial heating services. From commercial gas furnaces, electric heaters and heat-pump systems. We repair all brands of heaters. We work on any heating system under 20 tons directly heating the air in your building. We do not offer industrial heating services at this time such as, boiler systems, or any type of large water heating system.
We do work on all types of geothermal heating systems, with the exception of working on cooling towers. Geothermal heating was first used in 1948 when Professor Carl Nielsen of Ohio State University developed the first ground-source heat pump. Since then these type of units have been installed in a ton of residential applications and to this day remains the highest efficiency air conditioning system available on the market today. This is the most common type of unit in a large sky-scraper type of building. All of the hot air from the condensers is pumped up to the roof, riding in a tube of flowing water. This hot water releases almost all of its heat and returns back inside at almost ambient temps. This is the most common play on these type of systems because it is the same air conditioning equipment except putting the hot water to the rooftop instead of down underground.
